Tactical Survival Kit: A-TACS MOLLE Belt Rig
Posted on June 02 2017
Packing essential survival gear is a no brainer when you start planning your next adventure. Having the basics such as a fire starter and canteen just make sense, no matter the mission or situation. Do a little research to find the best options using gearweare.com and you’re well on your way. The big question is how to carry this survival kit. Do you store it in your pack? Maybe in your cargo pockets? There’s a few options, but most tend to toss the gear in their favorite pack and hit the trail.
There are those times however where you simply want to go light. No pack, just the essentials stored on your person. This is where a quality tactical survival kit with MOLLE comes into play! For the past year I’ve been procrastinating on building my own, until my partner at Tactic World forced my hand by sending me a tactical MOLLE belt for review. The rest is history, I got the belt, was happy about the belt and then even more happy to start building it with all my favorite gear and pouches.
I approached this build with the same mindset I always have, start with the basics and then layer on the “nice to have” items based on the mission at hand. Here’s the breakdown:
Belt And Pouches:

2. SDS Grenade Pouch: http://bit.ly/2rqF4pr
3. SPLAV Utility Pouch:
4. TAG Admin Pouch: http://bit.ly/2skbIJp
5. MOLLE Belt: http://bit.ly/ATACSMOLLEBELT
The concept of using a belt system for essential survival gear works perfectly for a 24hr time span or less in the field. If you need more gear, just add a small assault pack. Summer brings the heat and humidity so depending on your location, its easy to reconfigure the belt to add another canteen if needed. The MOLLE system makes it easy to modify depending on your needs.
